Chaplain’s Corner - March 2026

A Season of Hope and Renewal

As we step into March, we carry with us the lingering warmth of winter and the first whispers of spring. It’s a season that invites both patience and anticipation—the patient tending of seeds underground, and the hopeful anticipation of blossoms above.

Scriptural reflection:

“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit.” John 15:16

God’s timing often feels slower than ours, but it is always purposeful. May we trust the divine cadence in these days of growing light.

A time to reflect:

What seeds are you sowing this season—of kindness, forgiveness, faith, or service?

March is a gentle reminder that growth requires consistent care, even when we cannot yet see it.

Messages for the Month

1) Renewal of the Spirit

God is always at work renewing our hearts. In moments of fatigue or doubt, pause to breathe in grace and exhale fear. Small daily practices—prayer, gratitude, acts of service—renew the spirit one moment at a time.

2) Stewardship of Creation

March often brings teasing glimpses of spring’s abundance. Let us commit to caring for creation as an act of worship: reduce waste, nurture green spaces, and protect the vulnerable ecosystems that sustain us.

3) Community and Connection

During transitional seasons, community matters. Reach out to a neighbor, a newcomer, or someone who has carried a heavy burden. A listening ear, a shared meal, or a simple note can remind others that they belong.

4) Hope in Change

Change is in the air—weather, routines, relationships, and plans. Rather than resisting, lean into hopeful change. Ask God to help you discern what to hold onto and what to let go.

Prayer Focus for March

For those who feel overwhelmed by life’s pace, may they find rest in God’s presence.

For caregivers and frontline workers, may they be strengthened and sustained.

For our church community and every community, that every member may discover a place to belong and contribute.

For mercy and justice to flourish in our communities.

A Simple Blessing

May the peace of Christ go with you,

wherever He may send you.

May He guide you through the storm,

and bring you into the light of his love.

And may you be a beacon of hope to others this March.
